Phillip Rezin - President
Phillip J. Rezin received his BSEE degree from the University of Illinois in 1983 with a concentration in RF communications and design. From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Rezin worked at Watkins Johnson Company designing miniature RF tuners and synthesizers. Mr. Rezin left WJ in 1993 as the head of synthesizer engineering and joined Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Ia.
As a member of the Advanced Technology Center, Mr. Rezin was responsible for developing low noise, fast tuning receivers and synthesizers. In 2000, Mr. Rezin was awarded the Advanced Technology Center Engineer of the year award as well as an Emeritus Inventor award. In 2004 Mr. Rezin was awarded the Rockwell Collins Corporate Engineer of the Year award. In 2005, Mr. Rezin founded Midwest Microwave Solutions and also joined start-up company Softronics Ltd as Vice President of Engineering. At Softronics, Mr Rezin was responsible for project management, technical direction, research and development of miniature receivers and sensor, system and circuit designs, and business development.
In July of 2009, Mr Rezin and partners Steve Wilson and Mike Horn left Softronics Ltd and acquired the Softronics miniature receiver product line. Mr. Rezin now serves as President of MMS and is primarily responsible for new product definition and design as well as new business development. Mr. Rezin has published numerous papers and holds a patent on a very low noise microwave synthesizer design.
